4. Third-Party Services

We aggregate publicly available information from:

• News RSS feeds (Reuters, BBC, France24, DW News, etc.)
• Social media APIs (X/Twitter via twitterapi.io)
• Public emergency alert systems

4.2 AI Processing

• Google Gemini API: Alert classification and translation (data not retained by Google)

5. Push Notifications

Push notifications are delivered via Apple's Push Notification Service (APNs). We only send notifications for:

• Breaking news alerts matching your region preferences
• Critical emergency notifications (when enabled)
• Pattern detection insights (optional)

You can disable notifications at any time in iOS Settings → StreamEar → Notifications.

6. Data Retention

• Local Device Data: Retained until you delete the app or manually clear data
• Server-Side Alerts: Stored for 90 days, then automatically deleted
• Usage Analytics: Aggregated and anonymized after 30 days

7. Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Access: View all locally stored data within the app
• Delete: Clear all app data via Settings → Data Management
• Control: Manage notification preferences and region filters
• Opt-Out: Disable analytics in app settings

8. Children's Privacy

StreamEar is not intended for users under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us immediately.

9. International Users

StreamEar is available globally. By using the app, you consent to the transfer and processing of your data in the United States, where our servers are located. We comply with applicable data protection laws, including GDPR for European users.
